Consumables - 

Standard XK 6 cylinder engine oil capacity is 8.5 litres

Standard V12 5.3 litre engine oil capacity is 10.7 litres

Transmission and torque converter capacity for Jaguar gearboxes is generally around 8.5 lites.

Also suitable for use in classic Jaguar and Jensen power steering systems.

Suitable for use in most classic Jaguar manual gearboxes* but please note that the early Moss gearbox e.g. 3.8 E-Type requires SAE30 oil (see Related Parts).

*The standard 4.2 / V12 E-Type manual gearbox oil capacity is 1.42 litres.

Also suitable for non-Limited Slip Differential rear axles in classic Jaguars e.g. MK2, Daimler V8 etc. Capacity is generally 1.5 litres.

The kit is supplied with a new high quality oil filter and replacements are available under part number EBC9658.

On some rare occasions when the old canister is removed there will be a metal oil filter retaining plate fitted inside the oil filter head. This must be removed before fitting the new kit.
